JOE COHEN is a Director, Producer, DoP and Editor working across documentaries, fashion films, branded content, shorts and features. Coming from a documentary background, where he films and edits his own work, enables him to work as an editor and DoP, alongside directing.

Joe has worked as a director on high profile fashion campaigns, collaborating with renowned choreographer Michael Clark for Fully Fashioned, a 200 year anniversary exhibition for Pringle of Scotland, screened at the Serpentine Gallery, the National Museum of Scotland and in competition for A Shaded View of Fashion at the Centre Pompidou. Other projects include a short documentary on the artist Ugo Rondinone for Eva Presenhuber Gallery, and Haider Ackermann and Tilda Swinton for Mercedes-Benz. He has directed films for i-D magazine, the British Fashion Council, VICE News, G-STAR, GUESS and Human Rights Watch.

Joe trained in documentary directing at the UK National Film and Television School after which he was selected as an emerging director for the Berlinale Talent Campus. His entry film Stepping Out was in official selection at the London Short Film Festival, ReelOut Canada, and was nominated for the documentary award at the Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival. His film Northern Cross was screened at the British Council Film Festival, Moscow.

Recently, Joe began working with photographer Matt Jones, as a DoP (Director of Photography) and editor, across campaigns for Opening Ceremony, Esprit, Nordstrom and H&M, including a new music collaboration with H&M and emerging British artist, Izzy Bizu.
